Rental Information

The Grand Opera House & The Baby Grand Theatre

Rental Costs:
The Mainstage, for non-profit companies, is $3,500 plus costs per day Monday through Thursday and $4,500 plus costs per day Friday through Sunday. The Mainstage rental cost for profit companies is, $5,000 plus costs per day Monday through Thursday and $6,000 plus costs per day Friday through Sunday. Costs are comprised of stagehands, house management, cleaning and security. We will do an estimate of technical costs once a mutually satisfactory date has been found and held.

The baby grand is $550 per day for non-profit companies and $1,000 per day for profit companies. Also available is a weekly rate of $1,500 for 4-7 days. The baby grand is subject to the same costs as the Mainstage.

All utilities and in-house equipment, included in our technical specs (when requested in advance), are included in the rental cost.

Additional Costs:

  • Stagehands* - $20 per hour per person / $30 per hour per person over 8 hours (4 hour minimum)
  • Grand Security* - $17 per hour per guard
  • Police Officer - $40 per hour per officer
  • House Manager - $17 per hour per manager
  • Cleaning* - $125 for baby grand, $550 for The Grand Opera House
  • Piano Rental (optional) - $250 for 6' , $300 for 9'
  • Piano Tuning (optional) - $110 Mon-Fri, $140 Sat & Sun
Other details regarding labor are specified in the contract.

* You cannot use your own stagehands, security or cleaning people for your rental. The Grand Opera House staff is familiar with the equipment and the environment and is critical to making your performance a success.

Tickets:
Renters must useThe Grand Box Office for ticket sales atno extra cost to the renter. For all sales, customers pay a per ticket handling fee, over and above the face value of the ticket price. For example, if the admission to your event is $15 or over, your customers will pay a $3 handling fee. If the ticket is $14.99 or under, your customer will pay a $1 handling fee. The handling fee covers the costs to provide the tickets and staff to process.

Rental Terms:
You will be required to sign a contract and put down a non-refundable deposit towards the rent when you sign. The balance of the rent and all estimated costs are due two weeks before your event at noon. All renters are required to be adequately insured, per the contract.

The Sarah Bernhardt Salon, the Function Room or Studio Space

Rental Rates:
Our standard rental rate for the Sarah Bernhardt Salon, the Function Room or Studio Space is $100 per hour, with a special discount for non-profit organizations of $75 per hour.
